Self-Destruction

How many times have you heard the same statement from others, “I am a fighter, I am a survivor,”? ..There are even songs written under this false pretense of a motivation. Yet, when life throws a few curb balls, they are unable to abide by their own ideals and allow defeat to negatively alter  their lives...  Forever labeling themselves as "victims."

        That’s why I believe that a true warrior is born in the face of adversity and battle. Your true self  is reflected in moments of tribulations; which are tests of  inner strength and character. It’s also a culmination of actions, statements, and unspoken words.
     However, we are all human and are all subjected to pain and anguish. From a positive approach, pain is the leading educator in one’s life. If you welcome and embrace the pain; it will provide clarity, direction, and wisdom.
     Sometimes, we continue to exercise poor judgment and make wrong choices that steer our path to self- destruction.

     In this shoot, a young, vibrant girl chooses a self-destructive path  and drowns her sorrows in the poisonous and deadliest force of alcohol. What could have happened to dethrone this princess?

     If you find yourself in rock bottom, will you give up or continue to fight? A true warrior continues to fight the battle.
